Specific dates for our seasons will be determined based on field availability, but the months are accurate.

Tadpole baseball is a development level in which the fundamental skills (throwing/pitching, catching, and hitting) and knowledge of the game are learned in a fun and non-competitive environment with balanced teams.  The primary focus is on fun and sportsmanship.

Spring House League Season: April- June 

• Players will be evaluated at the beginning of the season and teams selected by coaches to ensure balanced gameplay
• Games will be played with a soft baseball to ensure players can learn the game with confidence
• All games are 4 innings
• Players will hit from a sling-style pitching machine run by coaches. After May 6 player pitchers will pitch the last 2 innings of the game
• Spring Practices are on Tuesday & Thursday with games on Saturday at Qualicum Beach Fields (subject to change based on field availability)

​​​​​​​Summer Rep Team June (3rd week) -Aug (mid to end)

• Players will be evaluated in a two-day evaluation and teams selected on players' ability
•  Games are played with a regulation baseball
• Teams will play other teams from Vancouver Island throughout the summer
• Teams will compete at the Vancouver Island Regional Championship tournament
• Summer rep teams require full commitment to practices and games and involve travel to other communities

Fall training program Sept-Oct

• Fall training will involve 2 training sessions per week.
• Players will  work on developing fundamental baseball skills without a team-based environment
• Practices may include fun scrimmage games at the coach's discretion
• Practices take place at Qualicum Beach fields

Winter training program Jan-March

• Winter training will involve 1 training session per week
• Players will  work on developing fundamental baseball skills without a team-based environment
